I am working on a project with WSN and I would like to use LEACH protocol under ZigBee Communication standard? What are simulators freely available to do the research work?

The best is OMNeT++[1] with Castalia[2]. Castalia is a simulator for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), Body Area Networks (BAN) and generally networks of low-power embedded devices. There is, also, an undocumented visualization tool that integrates Castalia, CastaliaVis[3], easily found and hard to install, but doable.
