From my understand, there are several types of vacuum pump. There are liquid ring vacuum pump, single cone vacuum pump, close couple vacuum pump, two stage vacuum pumps and many more. So, which one is suitable to choose for the container.

Any roughing pump can be used. However plastic is not a good material for Vacuum chamber below 10E-3 torr. It will create degassing. Use instead glass chamber.

I absolutely agree with Rakesh Dhar. Besides, inox is suitable for vacuum chamber.
