I have carried out TGA/DTA analysis of rice straw sample. I need to calculate the lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose wt% present in rice straw with the help of wight loss and derivative wight loss with respect to temperature. Both TGA and DTA data is present in the excel file. Anyone who can accurately calculate the %composition of lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose content? I need it in urgent....!!!!
Thanks for the useful info Sibastian. According to this literature, cellulose and hemicellulose can be determined through TGA but lignin determination is not possible. Actually I was misguided by some past research papers in which they claim accurate measurement of these three components.

Please refer my papers to measure chemical composition of natural fiber. Through TGA we can not get Accurate result .
I also perform chemical analysis for lignocellulosic composition. Through TGA, almost same results were obtained for cellulose and hemicellulose, very close to the results of chemical analysis, but lignin determination for alkali treated rice straw is not measured accurately. In fact, lignin degradation peak was disappeared after alkali pretrearment due to which lignin% can not be measured.
TGA cannot accurately measure cellulose and hemicellulose content of fibres. Weight loss using TGA gives some helpful information, that is not sufficient. By the way, why do you have to wait till charaterisation time to determine cellulose content?
