Dear everyone, i would like ask about biofilm formation technique for Staphylococcus pseudintermedius. As I did biofilm technique using the tryptic soy broth+ 1 percent of glucose in tissue culture plate. When I stained with crystal violet 0.1 percent and washed after ten minutes there is observably biofilm as known this bacteria formed biofilm, what is your suggestion?

dear sir, the other way of evaluating the biofilm production is use of Congo red agar, besides the technique you are using need further modification. after crystal violet staining you have to destain the plates and read the OD reading in ELISA reader to evaluate the extent of biofilm production by the bacteria..hope this information might help you
