I need a good explanation on how to perform a grid independence study. I am currently using ansys fluent 14 to simulate nanofluid flow in a helical pipe.
Dear Obinichi Nnorom, make two or three grids having different mesh points (say G1, G2 and G3). After that compare different parameters and if the change in the parameters are 5% or less in going from grids G1 to G2 or G2 to G3, then chose the gird that have less variation in the parameters.
It seems you are beginner in the cfd field could i know which meshing software you are using to did your mesh ? so it will be quite easy for me to provide guidance regarding your problem's solution.
For more details regarding grid independent test you may refer my previous post over here, i already explained it.
