I want to develop a model of Isoprenaline (ISO) induced cardiomyopathy in adult FVB type mice both in vivo and in vitro. Has anyone here done this before. I notice there are have been similar models in rats and other types of mice e.g C57Bl/6. But I do not know the dose of ISO to use for FVB mice. Please advice on the protocol if anyone has any that can help.

Thank you for the reply. I have read that article before. I do know that a single dose of isoprenaline (ISO; 400 mg/kg) can induce takotsubo cardiomyopathy in C57Bl/6 mice, as reported by Yangzhen Shao et al, 2012. My question though, is whether the same dose can induce Takotsubo in FVB mice. since these are differentmice types. I am not able to do echocardiography to confirm this in my lab. Can i assume that the same dose will work for FVB mice and proceed to use it? My worry is, if for example I want to publish a paper, is it acceptable for me to use the same dose used for C57Bl/6 mice and reference my method to Yangzhen Shao et al, article, yet it was a different mice type?
