I want to measure Chl-a from landsat images for which atmospheric correction is required. I have done atmospheric correction in PCI Geomatica. It produced 4 results:
-ATCOR corrected image
-haze reduction image
-cloud mask image
-water mak image.
I don't understand how to estimate Chl-a after atmospheric correction. I don't understand its result. Please help me.
Do you mean Chlorophyll-a concentration in ocean water? It can be chl-a of land vegetation and it's an other thing.
Is it open ocean waters, coastal waters or lake? It's a big difference because in the case of open ocean it's so called case-1 waters and the task is trivial as it described in the above answer. However in the case-2 shallow and turbid coastal or lake waters it's not so easy. Actually I don't sure that it's possible to do with reasonable accuracy by any of landsat sensors (TM-ETM+-OLI) because for case-2 waters you need spectral band around 700nm (such as MODIS 708nm) and Landsat doesn't have it.

Yes ,I want to do measure chl-a in coastal lake waters using landsat images. Is there any index for estimate chl-a from landsat image like NDVI??
