I want to predict disease genes from human protein sequences but I don't know what diseases can detect from genes? What is an interesting topic in bioinformatics related to genes now?

Do a search in PubMed on "GWAS" which is genome-wide association studies. This type of study takes thousands of people with a condition such as diabetes and thousands of healthy controls and looks at thousands of single-nucleotide polymorphism genome markers (SNPs) across the genomes of all of them to see which ones tend to be associated with the condition. The location of each SNP in the human genome is known, so after locating SNPs associated with the condition, you can look up that chromosome region in the human genome to see which genes are near the SNPs. https://www.genome.gov/26525384

These studies look at the genomes (using SNP chips that analyze thousands of known human single nucleotide polymorphisms) of thousands of patients with a condition such as diabetes compared to thousands of healthy controls. Sites that are associated with the condition indicate the location of genes involved in the condition.
