I tested for cointegration between three variables in Eviews. After performing the two variants of Johansen cointegration test it suggests that there is one cointegrating vector. However, Eviews shows the results for the one cointegration vector and, also, for two cointegrating vectors. If the tests suggests one cointegration vector, why does it show the output for the case of two vectors?
In addition, if there is one cointegration vector between three variables, then it doesn't have to include all the three variables. For instance, out of the three variables it could appear that only two variables are cointegrated. Is there an option in Eviews showing which particular variables form the cointegrating vector?
