One of our research project focused on microwave absorption materials with wide bandwidths under −10 dB in the range of 2.8–3.2 GHz. As part of our planned objectives, we are seeking assistance in accurately measuring microwave absorption range and reflection losses to evaluate the performance of our materials.
Can anyone guide us on which kind of instrument measures microwave absorption range?
Most microwave absorption consists of magnetic loss powders like ferrite, nickel, and cobalt, and loss of dielectric loss materials such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and conductive polymers.
Several types of dielectrics (carbon, graphene, polymers, and nonmagnetic metal oxides) and magnetic fillers (iron, nickel, and ferrite) have recently been studied as filler materials for EM wave absorbers.
Types of radar-absorbent material (RAM)
- Iron ball paint absorber.
- Foam absorber.
- Split-ring resonator absorber.
- Carbon nanotube.
