Respected Members ,

I have a 17 different steel sample references , with varying concentration for Minor Elements being Mo , Ni , Mn ,Si , Cr etc , i am trying to build a calibration curve with Intensity/peak height wrt Concentration.

The challenges which i am currently facing are as follows :-

  • Too much variables :- In the LIBS Spectra , there are not one but muliple emission lines. For example : Mn has 100 emission lines , which are in accordance to the NIST Spectra , doing the univarite analysis for each of them is often time consuming , with often no expected Results.
  • The minor elements , which i am investigating using Univarite Mathod , Only Mn 2-3 peaks, has shown to have good correlation , rest all the other have absolutely zero to no correlation.
  • Why is it so challenging, to do a Univarite Analysis for steel references using LIBS Spectra ?

    Thanks and Regards,
