What the important things, if we use more semi soft coking coal usage. I know the paremeter such as vm ash fluidity and dilatation. But i wanna find what the parameter spesific if we increase semi soft coking coal usage will be impact to coke quality like CRI/DI ?
This a complex task. Depends on the properties of soft coking coal, components of charge, coking conditions, etc. Take a laboratory coking.
As was aforementioned, it is complicated task. In general, NSC parameters (CRI, CSR) are additive. Different semi soft coals have different properties (different CRI and CSR, plastic properties etc). To predict quality of coke it is necessary to known the properties of individual coals. Various type of semi soft coals can influence on Drum index DI in different ways, there is no general rule. Michael is right, semi-soft coals can cause nonlinear effects . I believe that the index: CQ = [ 1- ( CRI / 100 )] * CSR is valid for this type of research. Best regards
