Can anyone explain the band diagrams for depletion and enhancement mode AlGaAs/GaAs HEMT?How does the band diagram change with AlGaAs thickness?

I particularly did not get how the band diagram changes with AlGaAs thickness. Thanks.

AlGaAs thickness changes the strain in AlGaAs. If strain changes, there will be change in polarization. If there is change in polarization, there will be a change in electron density in the channel. If there is change in the electron density, it will changes the band diagram.
