Any information on culture media, and duration of viability. Interested in looking at NADPH Oxidase/ Nrf2/p38MAPK activity after exercise and measuring oxidative stress biomarkers.

I always cultered ficoll isolated PBMC in RPMI media with 5% FBS. I've done ELISA assays for cytokine secretion after (24, 48 and 72h) and proliferation up to 96h. I have done western blot analysis for p38 but it was after in vitro stimulation. I used short incubation periods (15, 30, 45 and 60min). If you are not interested in restimulate your cells in vitro, I believe you will need to check how long after exercise you will draw blood.
