Hello Belen, how are you?

I am not sure about the use of qPCR to detect DNA damage. qPCR is for expression analysis (RNA). To check this maybe you should perform conventional PCR using RAPD primers. They will generate several bands, if your DNA is damaged the band pattern will be different from the control, I guess.

You can try a kit based analysis. I am not sure about damage but for the degradation of the DNA Trio multiplex kit for qPCR is used. likewise other multiplex kits can be applied based on the requirement of Project.
