Usually in hydroponics system we use ferric EDTA as a source of iron for plants while when we provide cadmium treatment we change ferric EDTA with Ferric tartarate. Can anybody suggest alternative of ferric tartarate under both the stresses.

I was working with plants treated with high phosphate stress which also causes chlorosis because of iron deficiency. In the end, I mixed Fe citrate (15 g/l), Fe EDTA (15 g/l) and Fe EDDHA (15 g/l) mixed in 1:1:1 ratio. Finally, I used 3 ml per liter of half-hoagland media for Lotus japonicus. For rice, Sequestren rapid (Syngenta) was used as an iron source instead of Fe-citrate. These solutions differ in their stability based on the media pH, but I presume a mix of three will make sure that the iron is in adequate amount even under stress conditions which induce iron deficiency. Fe EDDHA is the most stable one.
