I want to cover my model (usually heat transfer model) with this type of material and use IR camera to visualize the heat transfer behavior of the model.
This is strongly dependent on the wavelength/wavenumber you want to observer.
At the moment I do not understand what you mean with heat transfer model. Is it a experimental model?
Perheps you can get a bit more specific.
However there are many different materials available that have good transmission properties in the IR range: saphire, calcium fluoride, germanium, fused silica etc.
My proposed model is a flow through a channel with a heat supplied to the bottom of the channel. The channel looks like an open channel. The top of the channel should be sealed with a material that is transparent to IR.
The objective is visualizing the flow behavior through the top of the channel inside using IR camera.
