I want to collect the Drosophila eggs and do some enzyme assays. In single petriplae I could get only 300 eggs the protein from which is not sufficient for assay. And can I store it in insect ringer.?

To get large population, we use Triple agar/apple juice plates. Adults flies are made to lay eggs on each plate for 2 hours.
You can repeat this procedure for 4/5 times, to get a lot of eggs/larvae.
