The HL60 cell line is the cell line you are looking for! It can be differentiated towards neutrophil like cells by different kinds of stimuli. Just use the link:
I have used the HL60 cell line. They need some care when they are differentiating but they respond similar to neutrophils and have comparable granular composition, I think
Much thanks to all. The links given by Robert actually contains lots of valuable papers/information, and of course, much appreciated.
I am currently differentiating PLB-985 cells using ATRA and DMF and still interested in recent (2014/2015) published work involving differentiation of cell line into neutrophil-like.
I worked in the past with the cell line MPRO clone 2.1 which can be differentiated into mature neutrophils (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9808058)
The cell line HOXB8-ER is also a great model for studying neutrophils (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16554834)
Both cell lines take about 6 days to be differentiatiated into neutrophils and, in my opinion, are more neutrophil-like than HL60 derived cells.
