I am using a flea cell flow system and need a hydrophobic border but sadly for the slides I am using for imaging they don't have the Teflon border. I was wondering if a PAP pen could be just as effective or is it toxic to live cells?
Considering the composition of the PAP pens, I will not use it as hydrophobic barrier with live cells. Indeed, it contain substances as 1-bromopropane and ligroine as written in the SDS which are irritating for skin, eyes and lung and can be considered as carcinogenic. So for sure, not the best I think ;)
