Hello there!

I am trying to a meta-analysis at the moment, comparing the effect of three different procedures on pain relief. The problem I came across is that half of the studies report the outcome as the difference in the mean pain scores before and after the procedure, whilst the rest report the proportion of patients who have at least 30% or 40% reduction in the participants' pain score.

How this discrepancy in the methodology of the included studies could be handled?

Thank you

Andreas
