Hello, I submitted a manuscript for publication to Journal X in the month of May. A week later the status showed under review. A month after that (June) it showed 1/2 review submitted. Last week I logged in to check the status, but unfortunately my authors' dashboard showed no submission. Logging in the manuscript ID shows non existence? I have written to the Journal editorial but no reply.What can I do? It's really frustrating. Five month of waiting wasted in which the manuscript could be submitted to another Journal.
Exodus Akwa your case is similar to what I experienced. Though it is unethical for the journal, I suggest you send a mail to them as a reminder of the current situation.
Exodus Akwa, I suggest that you check your email's spam list first to see if a decision was sent from the journal on that, if you didn't find anything then maybe you should send them an email that you will be submitting the article elsewhere.
I also suggest that you send a mail to them as a hint of the current status.
