Is it unethical or wrong in some way if a corresponding author sends a manuscript to a certain journal of certain publishing house, in which there's another manuscript of the same corresponding author is being reviewed (maybe in the final stages of the revision), and other authors of both these manuscripts are about 80% similar, but first author is different?

Could it anyway lead to the rejection of the both the manuscripts, even from the final stages of revision?
