I need to run MIC experiments at pH 5.0 and 5.5. Can someone please suggest a buffering system that will work at these pH values, but won't kill the cells ? I want to add this buffer to acidified TSB.

Citric and acetate buzffers as well as citric-phosphate buffers are suitable biological buffers.
