I am culturing S2 cells for my experiment. But there are always these black dots floating in the media after 2-3 days of passaging. However cells are intact and fine. I have used antibiotic too. It doesn't seem like bacterial contamination either. Can anyone suggest what these might be and how to avoid it?
Thanks Imran. I am using sterilized media but not sure should if I should filter sterilize FBS as some of its nutrients may not pass through the filter.

I believe, If the size of your dots is different from each other, It is quite possible that your cells are in stress, I guess these black particles are nothing other than cell debris because of high cell death. Give 2 to 3 times washing to your cells with PBS, and add freshly prepared media to it, I hope your cell will be fine.

No Debasish washing with PBS didn't work. yeah but i am using freshly prepared filter sterilized media. Hope it works. Thank you for suggestion.
