Bill Gates propose to kill al species of mosqitoes on the planet, but they are food for fishes, birds et cetera. The animals (fishes and birds) are healthy irrespectively of the mosquitoes.

From the conservationist point of view; Bill gates seems more dangerous, but you don't worry, there will be always mosquitoes. Malarial parasite was discovered in 1880 and we have not get rid of this female anopheles mosquitoes causing malaria till today and hopefully we will not be able to eradicate mosquitoes completely. So, long live conservationist, there will always be mosquitoes, like hope.

This is an ethical question which has been dicussed previously with the variola vera virus - are we allowed ethically to eradicate one species from our vulnerable planet? This is really difficult to answerd and I cannnot foresee the consequences; but I suppose if Anopheles are eradicated, fish and birds will still have Culex, Aedes, Mansonia, Haemagogus and other insect species to feed on.

I believe the Gates foundation is providing funds worldwide and especially to African nations to held treat and eradicate HIV/AIDS!
Mosquitoes are indeed dangerous because they serve as vectors of several diseases such malaria, lymphatic filariasis, dengue, chikungunya, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, West Nile fever and Rift Valley fever. Malaria is a major health problem in continent of Africa and is main hurdle in the development of many countries of West Africa. Dengue is emerging as major health problem in urban areas of India. Japanese encephalitis which mainly afflicts children has been a serious health problem since last four decade in Uttatar Pradesh state of India.Therefore, control of mosquito population is essential to check the spread of aforesaid diseases. However, total finishing of the mosquito population from this planet would lead to ecological imbalance.
There is another solution - eradication of Denga, Zika, Ebola and another dangerous viruses without biological war.
