We use a hybridization ELISA as a PK assay. We have hundreds of samples from different tissues of various treatments. Currently we're pre-weighing the tubes, then weighing the tubes with tissue samples in order to get the tissue weight to determine mg/ml protein. Is there an easier way????
can you do your sampling into a 96 well plate on an electronic top pan balance then just re zero the plate after noting the sample weight before adding the next sample?
Unfortunately, you will always have a container to zero before adding sample and taking the second weight. Note you are doing two weighings, each with the same error of measurement and the same uncertainty of measurements, which need to be combined to obtain the final range for the observed weight. Since error of measurement is usually much larger, you might be able to get away with just the error of measurement being used, which are additive.
