Attached is the gate leakage current plot measured for a range of gate voltage. I would like to find the mean value of the leakage current. Which mean will be most appropriate for this gate current? simple average or RMS or something else?

Going back to basic stats: mean, median, and mode, wouldn't be nice if mean and median matched; sometimes it does? Far too often I think simple mean is used with outliers and sometimes the data is filtered of those outliers. Thus sometimes the value of median. That said, I would actually use rms as the alternative option. You would not be the first to and more appropriate than simple mean.

RMS value i.e., Sqrt [ ∫ I2GSdVGS / ∫ dVGS ] should provide an acceptable value for the shown data.
