The available IF now is 2017 which was released according to the journals' citations in 201, when 2018 Latest Impact Factors Journal List,Thomson Reuters will be available according to the full citation of 2017?
So DO NOT WAIT for it. Rather the "OpenAccess", Openness, Reputation of Publishers, Quality of the Editorial Board and Articles published in the journal and the IMPACT of the Journal in the Field in terms of quality of work is far more important than anything else.
SCI, Scopus, Most Publishers, "Academia", ResearchGate, Thomson Reuters and Clarivate Analytics all of them need to STOP THE CIRCUS and BUSINESS OF IMPACT FACTOR.
With "PrePrint" servers around, all the IF/ IMPACT FACTOR are BIG JOKES.
The newest IFs will be available in the 2018 Journal Citation Report. I was unable to find its release date but in previous years the JCRs were released roughly in the middle of the summer.
The impact factor of 2017 will be released by the end of June 2018. In the mean time you can use the 2016 impact factor list or use another better metric like the Q factor which depends on far more than just citations.
Dr. Lotfi, I registered to a webinar that will be conducted by Clarivate on 29th June. The trainer will talk about what is new in the JCR 2018. It is at 11:00 UK time
JIF is not available in the Web. But, I could manage to find JCR full list and the list of journals which got their first impact factor in 2018. Here are the attachments. THANKS
Dear respected colleagues @ Muhammad Umair and @ Claudio Fuentealba
