Is there any relation (experimental or mathematical) between dislocation density and the density of localized states?

Can we consider the dislocation structure, generally as disordered structure? is there any mathematical or experimental relation between those two factors?

Dislocations are extended defects in the order of atoms in a crystal.

(a partly missing plane or screw type)

There may be then localized states attached to these extended defects,

in some cases similar to surface states.
