The inlet boundary condition in my case is "mass flow rate". In this boundary; the temperature change with the time. I created a profile file (.prof) which contains the value of the variation of the temperature as a function of time (file attached). After reading the profile file into fluent, in the inlet BC panel I found to file one of time and other of temperature (file attached). I didn't undestand: is that fluent separates the fields? it does not account for the variation of thentemperature with time? Can any one explain to me? thank you so much.

if you need to run a transient CFD simulation accounting for a temperature variation over time, I suggest you to implement it as a profile in a UDF rather than creating the profile (.prof) file.
In the UDF you will need to specify a variable accounting for the simulation time and the variation of the physical quantities you need to model. You can find several examples on the Fluent UDF manual. Once ready, by compiling the UDF in fluent (user-defined -> Functions -> Compiled) you will be able to select the profile in the thermal tab of the mass flow rate boundary conditions panel.
