I agree to some extent.But I must say immaging is important as what we think may not be acute . Secondly who knows it may be obstruction with urosepsis

Unless there is an obvious cause,renal U/s is very valuable.

We do use U/S frequently,but also have renal consultant input to our ward rounds where possible.
