Are you relating your account of professional and administrative values of principals within competing conceptions of educational leaderships? If so, I would like to know how you have articulated your discussion about the diverse ways of conceptualizing educational leadership, including the dimensions of professional and administrative values. I would argue that our understanding of how we conceive of educational leadership in educational institutions or societies is based on what we believe about the sociocultural, and consequently political, nature of society. I think that considering socio-cultural paradigmatic foundations in a research project like yours are crucial here, and particularly essential in developing an understanding of differing conceptions of educational leadership and education as reflected through policies in different societies, including Turkey. Developing an understanding of sociocultural and educational paradigmatic foundations regarding competing conceptions of educational leaderships is also essential in being able to construct a critical analysis of the dominant way of understanding professional and administrative values related to a way of conceptualizing educational leadership while setting the stage for venturing beyond dominant ideologies.
