We surveyed 70 corresponding authors of past Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) studies. Although respondents cited a wide range of potential benefits from MALL use, most indicated that there was no actual curriculum integration resulting from their study.
It seems that most MALL research is conducted to allow scholars to acquire journal publications, as opposed to providing long-term benefits for students.

Hi Prof,
The findings about MALL (mobile assisted language learning) pertaining to publication seems relatively justified. I see nowadays scholars just use one data collection tool, use spss and put up the results. The elements of reliability and validity in researches are at stake. That is why students do not get long term benefits. My experience is from review of hundreds of research papers. I hope it helps!
