Are there longitudinal studies on the medium and long-term events (outcome) post total knee arthroplasty TKA? In long-term studies, are there any relationships between outcome and nature of TKA rehab received by TKA clients?
There are quite a few longitudinal studies which report outcomes after TKA. One of the recently published studies from a national data base is available at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23872821
However, nature of rehabilitation's relationship with clinical outcome of TKA has not been studied beyond one year in most studies.
Another longitudinal study which you mat find useful is available at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19589683
you might look for older studies in my publications. For newer ones you should contact Prof. Thomas Gehrke in Researchnet (ENDO-Klinik Hamburg), if he has any like this.
