This is more specific continuation of my recent question about T cell markers on myeloid cells. We see involvement of CD4+ DC (subpopulation of splenic CD11c+ DCs, the most adherent to plastic coat) in responses of CD8 central memory cells. Therefore, I think now, that dependence of CD8 memory cells on CD4 T lymphocytes could be overestimated in previous works. Some of these studies used MHC class II knockout mice as a model for CD4 T cell deficiency. So, I am very interested to know, has anyone possibly observed this subpopulation of DC in the spleen of MHC class II knockouts?
