Most of textbook/website try to explain with too much detail (past few day I found textbook "statistic in a nutshell" but it's 400 pages ). some create a good diagram but explanation is not clear. I cannot see overview of statistics. right now I knew that there is a test name like this, like that but actually I don't know anything (lol) and I'm not sure how to pick statistical test. I need explanation in summary like...
Steps which provide some examples and each step it could limit statistical tests that I can use when I found the answer
1. what do you want to do
1.1 hypothesis testing vs difference vs relationship (meaning and limitation)
2. what kind of my data and how many group
2.1population, sampling,experimental (meaning and limitation)
3. data distribution:
3.1 why, data transformation
4. statistical test with its assumption
4.1 value that I need to calculate
4.2 I have missing data, How to fix it
4.2 how to report the result and meaning of it
