I think you could find something useful in Maureen Dennis's latest works with neuroimaging, and Warren Brown's - perhaps also Lynn Paul -on a rather large sample.

genrally speaking, I had understood they 'recognize the CC parts' on the basis of the fibers connecting cerebral areas, but I should check. Technically, you should ask their experts in neuroimaging, as I am just a developmental neuropsychologist.

There is also an outstanding book by Hugdahl and another res. I cannot remember right now, an edited book (guests: Kosslyn & Banich & more) where perhaps th eproblem in identifying CC components is dealt with. I kind of remember I quoted it in my PhD thesis. 

Let me know if you experience any troubles in findind these papers, I'll try to help you more concretely.

are the main authors I search when running biblio searches. 

Accidentally, I read some Sherr's papers on MRI and DTI techniques.

2) Also: what do you exactly mean by 'children'? 

what age are they?

As per your questions:

1. I am in neuroscience and I am doing DTI/DKI of children and adults who stutter

2. The children I have the diffusion images from right now are aged 6-12.
