I am working with a mitotic protein and its interaction with mitotic kinases. We use nocodazole to catch the cells at different stages of cell cycle (prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase)

Hello Oya,
Do you mean (M) for mitosis of cell cycle or metaphase of mitosis?
I can suggest you check kinetochore proteins for metaphase or phospho-H3 for mitosis.

Hi Oya,
one option would be to look at the localization of CPC components (see paper below). This complex dramatically re-localizis during mitosis alowing you to indentify the distinct phases.
