There are no specific guidelines for splinting traumatized primary teeth.One can follow same guidelines mentioned in IADT 2020 using 0.4mm diameter also k/a composite-wire physiologic splint.

However, apart from IADT guidelines for traumatized primary teeth, no further newer original research/case-report articles have been reported in the existing dental literature ??
The actual objective of this scientific discussion was to converse about newer researches or case-reports such as novel types of dental splints for traumatized primary teeth, etc.
This is still a grey area for research to devise a specific splinting method for primary teeth keeping in minds the physiological forces exerted by wire n composite splint in primary teeth. Can look after it in future researches.

Hello doctor, I would like to add to the raised query along with Dr.Bikash.
Now there is a shift of splinting material from Wire compost (WC) splint to Nylon composite (NC) splint. Comparison of the materials are being done to assess which material is allowing near or equal to the physiological mobility of the traumatised tooth during the splinting period.
This era is considered to be the finite Element Analysis era I should say due to COVID or whatever reasons that gives more accurate results for its unique methodology.
However research on primary teeth trauma yet to take place. The following article is a FEA study done in mixed dentition on splinting material (WC Vs NC) to be used. I think this would be an add on. Thanks!
