Are there any surface markers of macrophages that are being up/downregulated after macrophages engulf particles via Fc-receptor dependent phagocytosis? Or just upon binding of the antibody to Fc receptor? Can the phagocytosis or antibody binding alone change the activation state of macrophages?

Typically macrophages can phagocytose several kind of particles through different surface receptors depending on their biochemical composition, for instance CR3 (complement receptor 3; CD11b) or FcgRs (receptor for Fc fraction of immunoglobulins; i.e. CD16) can phagocytose opsonized particles like virus and bacteria, other phagocytic receptors are mannose receptor (MR; CD206) and scavenger receptors (many of them; i.e. CD68, SRAI, MARCO, etc) and Dectin 1.
