K2PtCl4 solubility.
It is sparingly soluble in DMSO, and the solubility will increase if mixed with a small amount of methanol (start with 5% and work your way up).
Have you tried acetonitrile?
According to our opinion H2O is the best solvent, but [NEt4]2PtCl4 is soluble in many organic solvents. It is true for other tetraalkyl ammonium derivatives.
Reasonable solubility are obtained in a water/isopropanol mixture (1:0.7).
Distilled water is best suitable. DMF is also suitable
Solubility is better in pure methanol.
