I have no prior experience with multiplex assays but would be interested in running ELISAs for a number of targets on hippocampal and cortical tissue lysate. However, given the amount of sample required to run single ELISAs, I thought a multiplex assay might allow me to obtain a greater amount of information from my limited sample volumes. After a brief search of a number of company websites however, it seems to me that most multiplex kits are optimised for culture supernatant or liquid samples? Does anyone have experience with kits suitable for tissue lysates?

You may look into Luminex assays if you have access to the machine. They should work on tissue lysates, but sample pre-treatment may be required for some targets.
I'm wondering about the possibility of the regular plate ELISA to be multiplexed instead of being single analyte assay. Anybody knows or in-touch with an institute, company or scientist familiar or have experience with these assays -if they are exist- will be deeply appreciated if put me in-touch with. Have you looked into mesoscale discovery multiplex assays? You can use up to ten capture antibodies per 96 well plate and they have superior sensitivity to ELISA.
