Hello,
I am working on a project looking at the effects of high-fat diet.
One aspect of this is looking at how fat changes pre- and post-treatment.
The results pre- and post-treatment were significant, as expected.
However, I noticed that there was a significant difference between the control mice and HFD mice pre-treatment, with the latter having higher amounts of fat to begin with.
Is this simply due to sampling error? And if so, is there an issue with using the data if there were significant differences pre-treatment?
Thank you in advance.
Irina
