Hello,

I am running a simulation of the human elbow which comprises the humerus, radius and ulna together with their respective cartilages. I modeled the bones as rigid bodies with E=21GPa (value obtained from literature) and the cartilages as Neo-Hookean Hyperelastic bodies with G=0.31MPa and K=0.37MPa. From the abaqus manual, i obtained the C10 and D1 coefficients as G/2 and 2/K respectively. The problem is i think i obtained wrong values for G and K and so the system doesn't converge. When i use rigid body properties (E=10MPa and v=0.3) the system runs just fine. I do not want to simulate the cartilages as linear elastic material but hyperelastic materials. Has anybody run a simulation of such nature using neo-hookean hyperelastic materials before? If yes, what constants for C10 and D1 did you use. How should i approach this problem. Thank you for your help.
