In my opinion these new technological knowledge has great potential for doing good for humanity. RG for example, which I like and use; is a truly liberating experience. But as tools of international corporate profit generation and incessant capital accumulation, these have become a curse rather than a godsend. What do you think?

I have this negative reaction when I see their effect on our new generation. Instead of being exuberant and full of life, they are turning into non-thinking zombie-robots, perpetually hunched over their media toys. My young adult son would very reluctantly come to the dinner table, but will continue to “text” on his i-pad (or whatever) while his food is getting cold! Constant bombardment of commercial on TV/Radio, “telemarketing” through the phones, knock on the door for soliciting etc., makes life really unpleasant. This malaise is not limited to the developed countries; but this craze is even worse in the underdeveloped countries, which can ill-afford these toys (for adults), the least!
