Are fungal toxins such as aflatoxin transmitted from the infected mother to the fetus through the umbilical cord?

Hi everyone

How can conclude that fungal toxins are not transmitted to the fetus if the mother has high doses of aflatoxin? if it actually transferred! What is the role of metabolic processes that occur in liver of the mother?
