Yes...according to me...ABC trasporters are arranged side by side which wont allow the drugs to cross the brain barrier...and also they will push back the crossed drugs in to circulation..this are quite interesting transporters..works by utilizing ATP....if we target this transporters we can attain required concentration of the drug in to the CNS for treating many CNS disorders in low concentrations...by this we can prevent the adverse effects and also dependence to the drug..

I found ABC transporters genes, arranged in GENOME side by side, not the translated protein in a physical membrane, it's different. If you know something about this, please contact me.
