I am currently facing problems in growing Arabidopsis at our growth room. Leaves are observed to be shrinked and yellowing in color. Also the growth is restricted and very late bolting is seen. Plants are fine untill they are in saran wrap but once they are thinned and saran wrap is removed their growth gets restricted. Any suggestions to combat these symptoms and tips to grow better Arabidopsis plants would be of great help.

The main issue stems from the composition of the nutrient solution and the sudden change in humidity after thinning. Transitioning to a balanced nutrient solution (½ Hoagland), gradual humidity acclimation, and sub-irrigation will help alleviate the symptoms. If problems persist, checking EC and pH levels and considering genetic factors if mutant plant lines are used is recommended.
The observed symptoms—leaf yellowing, restricted growth, and delayed bolting—are consistent with abiotic stress rather than biotic factors. These issues are likely caused by environmental or nutritional imbalances exacerbated by the removal of the saran wrap.
Raghad Mouhamad thank you for the response, I will try to ensure the watering with hoagland solution. I was giving NPK solution when required.
