I am trying to make an aqueous solution of sodium orthosilicate at an alkaline pH level. But I am noticing settling after a couple of days. I have tried doing the solution at various concentrations - from 5% upto 40% w/w. I have tried using warm water, cold water, different types of mixing equipment (From simple to high speed mixers). I cannot compromise on the pH of the solution but need a clear liquid. What can be a possible way to do this?
